Juventus have no intention to part ways with Francisco Conceicao, who is reportedly wanted at Liverpool.

The Premier League giants have announced that Mohamed Salah will be putting an end to his elusive nine-year spell at Anfield at the end of the season.

Therefore, the Reds are searching the market for a right winger capable of filling the Egyptian’s massive shoes.

Liverpool identify Chico Conceicao as potential Mo Salah heir

Liverpool have sounded Bayern Munich star Michael Olise, but signing the Frenchman this summer remains a tall order.

Recent reports claimed that the English club has identified Conceicao as a more plausible alternative.

The Portuguese winger joined Juventus on a hefty loan (€10 million) in the summer of 2024. Although he had his highs and lows in his first season in Turin, he did enough to convince the Serie A giants to buy him from Porto last summer for €32 million.

As TuttoJuve explains, Conceicao’s book value at the end of the season will be around €26 million, which opens the door for Juventus to register comprehensive capital gains, as the player’s market value is significantly higher.

However, the source insists that the Bianconeri are hellbent on keeping the Portuguese international in Turin for years to come.

Why Juventus are holding on to Conceicao

With Conceicao establishing himself as a regular feature in Luciano Spalletti’s lineup, Juventus don’t want to make a step backwards by selling the winger and creating a gap on the wing.

On the contrary, Damien Comolli and Co. want to give continuity to the current project while strengthening the squad by addressing the weak spots.

Moreover, Conceicao’s natural alternative, Edon Zhegrova, hasn’t been able to prove his worth in his first season at the club.

While his technical skills are undisputed, the Kosovar has been struggling to return to his best levels after recovering from a serious injury he suffered with LOSC Lille last year.

Therefore, if Juventus are going to part ways with a right winger, Zhegrova would be the more likely option.
