Jamie Vardy will attend Leicester City's 5000/1 Anniversary match at the King Power Stadium, but he will watch from the stands due to his current Cremonese contract, LeicesterMercury.co.uk understands.

The 39-year-old hit 24 goals in 2015/16 as City won the Premier League, then spent nine more seasons, reaching 200 goals in 500 appearances.

He was confirmed on Thursday as an attendee for this weekend's reunion and listed as a non-playing guest. His Cremonese deal runs until the end of June, and he is expected to leave after their Serie A relegation. His participation was only finalised this week amid uncertainty over availability.

Riyad Mahrez and N'Golo Kante will not be in Leicester this weekend due to World Cup commitments. Both are in the summer World Cup squads for Algeria and France.

Algeria and Mahrez face the Netherlands next Wednesday before beginning their World Cup on June 17.

Kante will be in action for France in two friendlies against the Ivory Coast and Northern Ireland in the next 12 days before the tournament.

Shinji Okazaki and Gokhan Inler are also not set to attend. Okazaki manages German lower-division side FC Basara Mainz and is an ambassador for FSV Mainz 05, while Inler has duties at Udinese as Technical Director.

Demarai Gray, who joined in January 2016, will be present but will not play as he is contracted to Birmingham City. Ben Chilwell, who did not feature in the Premier League that season, is unavailable.
