Premier League heavyweights Manchester United recently expressed an interest in bringing in Real Madrid youngster Endrick on loan.
That’s according to Goal, citing ESPN Brasil, who have also revealed why the Red Devils ultimately made the call to pull the plug on their pursuit.
Both the Old Trafford brass and their counterparts at Aston Villa were keen to take advantage of Endrick’s availability on loan for the 2nd half of the campaign.
The two English clubs therefore made contact with those behind the scenes at Real Madrid.
Both, however, backed out of talks upon learning that Los Blancos are not open to the possibility of including an option to buy in the terms of their young goalscorer’s loan.
Endrick, as a result, is now widely expected to make the move to France in January, with Olympique Lyonnais.
The 19-year-old is for his part fresh off securing his first minutes of the season this past weekend, emerging from the bench in a 4-0 victory over Valencia.
