Serie A side Milan have endured a disastrous end to the season and this can now result in Adrien Rabiot ending up at Napoli, where Max Allegri is about to be appointed as the new manager.
Antonio Conte’s departure came right after Allegri’s departure from the chaos at the Rossoneri, who then saw him reach an agreement with the Partenopei.
Gazzetta dello Sport report that the uncertainty at Milan can now lead Rabiot towards Allegri once again. The situation is very much possible, even if no talks or negotiations have been held yet.
The Italian sees the midfielder as a valuable player for his system, as he always adds value in advanced areas, also scoring key goals when they were together at Juventus. Fate collided at Milan as the midfielder had off-field issues at Marseille and this led him to unite with the Italian once again.
At Napoli, this can happen again. The Naples club can lose at least one midfielder and this can spark another move for the France international.
Rabiot played a key role at Milan and Juve because the clubs didn’t quite have a profile like him. His physical traits made him a receiver in the final third but Napoli already have someone like that in Scott McTominay, who is now a title winner and one of the best in the league.
That is why a reunion between Rabiot and Allegri in Naples make little sense, as things stand.
