David Moyes worked wonders during his managerial stint at West Ham United.

The Scottish boss twice saved them from Premier League relegation, and then built a strong team that secured sixth and seventh-place league finishes.

He also ended the club’s 43-year trophy drought with the Europa Conference League triumph in 2023.

But many supporters constantly expressed their dissatisfaction with Moyes’ defensive brand of football, and he ended up leaving the Hammers in 2024.

Things haven’t gone well at the London Stadium since, with Julen Lopetegui and then Graham Potter failing miserably to deliver results.

West Ham are currently the favourites to become the third relegated team.

Moyes finds himself in a unique position as he can help his former team avoid the ignominy of relegation.

‘Would love to keep West Ham’

The Irons currently sit two points behind Tottenham Hotspur ahead of their final game of the season.

For Premier League survival, a victory against Leeds United on Sunday will not be enough.

West Ham also need Moyes to do them a huge favour by leading Everton to success against Spurs.

Even a draw will seal their fate given Tottenham’s significantly superior goal difference.

Although he quickly clarified his primary focus will be to help Everton finish in the top-half of the table.

The Toffees are quite capable of winning in North London, as they boast several quality players in their squad.

But their recent run of form is a cause for concern, with the team winless in their last six league matches.

Everton also don’t have much to play for, as their hopes for European qualification are over following last weekend’s 3-1 home loss to Sunderland.
