Will Still is expected to be appointed as AJ Auxerre’s manager shortly, according to reports from Onze Mondial.

Talks between the Burgundy club and the Belgian manager are reportedly at a very advanced stage, with only a few details still to be finalised. First and foremost among these are the terms of Christophe Pélissier’s departure, as Still is set to replace him.

Having been out of work since his dismissal from Southampton FC last November, following a difficult spell (only four wins in 16 matches), the 33-year-old coach is set to return to the French league, which he knows well from his time as manager of Stade de Reims and RC Lens, having recently been linked with FC Lorient, Toulouse FC, Paris FC and FC Nantes.

But Still’s arrival is not the only news regarding AJA’s management structure. Indeed, sporting director David Wantier and club president Baptiste Malherbe are expected to remain at the club, despite the uncertainty of recent weeks.
