Wisdom Mike set to miss FC Bayern’s Asia tour as loan remains an option | OneFootball

Wisdom Mike will not be part of FC Bayern’s Asia tour as he’ll remain in Munich to get match fitness. The 17-year-old attacker has only played 35 minutes in all competitions during the 2025/26 season.

Sky Sport’s Kerry Hau reported it’s now decided that Mike will not be included in FC Bayern’s Asia tour. The Rekordmeister will visit South Korea and Hong Kong from August 1st to 8th in their 10th Audi Summer Tour. The club announced today their special printings on the kits for the two friendly matches.

According to Sky’s report, Mike is planned to feature for the U23 team coached by Dante. After consultation with Vincent Kompany, he’ll now stay in Munich to fully recover from the serious muscle injury he suffered last season.

Several clubs from Germany and abroad are interested in signing Mike on a loan deal. That option remained open as Mike’s Bayern contract will turn into a full professional deal when he turns 18 on September 24th.

Jamal Musiala, Lennart Karl and Serge Gnabry will also remain in Munich as they continue their pre-season preparation at Säbener Strasse/
