Leeds United supporters have accused the FA of inconsistency after Rodri avoided a ban for questioning a referee’s neutrality. Five weeks after Manchester City’s 2-2 draw with Tottenham on 1 February, he received an £80,000 fine and a warning.

Fans have contrasted that outcome with Daniel Farke’s one-game touchline ban following his red card against City. Farke says he jogged to ask Peter Bankes about added time amid time-wasting and insists he should not have been sent off.

Online reaction from Leeds followers centred on alleged double standards.

Stuart Dallas has urged calm after last week’s 1-0 Premier League defeat to Sunderland, with Leeds three points above the drop zone.

Max Wober, who had two knee operations last season, has yet to play a league game for the German club after an August hamstring injury. He travelled to London for specialist treatment last month.

“At first, they said it was a minor strain, but it took longer than expected. Then it turned into a muscle fibre tear, and finally a muscle fibre tear with tendon involvement. Many things didn’t go optimally during my rehab,” he told the 1x1Sport Football Coach podcast.

“I’m not far from being fit, but I still can’t get back to running and playing football completely pain-free,” said Wober, 28, whose Leeds contract runs until 2027. “I hope this appointment will help me and that I can be back on the pitch in two weeks.”
