Wolfsburg announce more departures as Kaminski set to join Köln permanently | OneFootball

Wolfsburg's squad upheaval continues with the official confirmation of Nicolas Cozza, Bartol Franjic and Jakub Kaminski leaving the club permanently. All three spent the 2025/26 season away from Wolfsburg with loan deals.

While Cozza similarly faced relegation to Ligue 2 with Nantes, Franjic's Venezia are back to Serie A after finishing the Serie B campaign as champions. Meanwhile, Kaminski had an excellent season in Köln where he played a big part in avoiding the drop in the club's first season back in Bundesliga.

Although Köln are yet to release a statement of a permanent transfer, Wolfsburg's announcement confirmed the Polish international will stay in Bundesliga. The 23-year-old winger scored more league goals this season (7) than the past three campaigns combined for Wolfsburg (4).

Franjic only played half of the games for Venezia, but there was an “obligation to buy” clause in the loan arrangement. As for Cozza, he couldn’t keep Nantes in Ligue 1 after a chaotic season that ended with fans invading the pitch during Vahid Halilhodzic's final game as a coach.

Aster Vranckx (Sassuolo) and Andreas Skov Olsen (Rangers) also spent the season on loan spells. Wolfsburg already confirmed six departures after their first-ever relegation confirmed on Monday.
