Wolfsburg consider taking Bayer Leverkusen defender Jeanuël Belocian (20) on loan | OneFootball

The local Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung reports that Wolfsburg are looking to Bayer Leverkusen to address their central defensive issues. A solution that may work out well for both Bundesliga clubs could see French centre-back Jeanuël Belocian switch company teams via a loan deal.

Wolfsburg rebuffed in search for defensive assistance

As reported by Get German Football News in a recent transfer update piece on Wolfsburg, Germany’s green company team simply doesn’t have the budget to obtain established help in central defense. Despite the fact that Wolfsburg only conceded one goal in this Friday evening’s Bundesliga loss to Köln, the German Wolves have conceded as many goals (42) as notorious porous Eintracht Frankfurt and dead-last 1. FC Heidenheim. 

Jeanuël Belocian recently dropped from Leverkusen’s UCL squad

Newly arrived Borussia Mönchengladbach keeper Jonas Omlin and once-again fit midfielder Exequiel Palacios have been nominated for Leverkusen’s Champions League squad during the knockout phase of the competition. Palacios’ return meant that Belocian had to forfeit his place.
