Wolfsburg ‘to negotiate’ Charlie Cresswell winter move from Toulouse | OneFootball

VfL Wolfsburg are in negotiations over a January move for Charlie Cresswell, according to Sky Germany.

The 23-year-old centre-back, 1.90m tall, is under contract at Toulouse until 2028.

He joined from Leeds United in summer 2024 for €4.5 million and lifted the U-21 EUROs with England last June.

Cresswell was a regular for the Three Lions’ youth side and has continued to feature in Ligue 1, appearing in 18 of Toulouse’s 19 league matches.

Wolfsburg have now struck Kristoffer Ajer from their shortlist, as the Norwegian will not receive a release from Brentford.

Union Berlin’s Danilo Doekhi is another candidate for the centre-back position, and is expected to leave in summer at the latest.
