United interest in Wolves prospects and a possible Dortmund bid, plus Villa contract talks and keeper links, headline the region’s latest transfer rumours.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, Manchester United have been linked with a reunion with Wolves goalkeeper Sam Johnstone and with 18-year-old Mateus Mane, and are said to be leading the race if he leaves this summer.

Rob Edwards has said Mane will stay for the Championship season, and the player has backed that position.

Borussia Dortmund have reportedly offered £14.7million including add-ons for ex-Wolves defender Bastien Meupiyou, now at Alverca in Portugal. Wolves have a buy-back clause for a small fee but are not expected to use it.

A sell-on means Wolves would recoup the £4.2million they paid and 50 per cent of any profit, so a move could bring a cash windfall.

Villa are said to be discussing improved terms with 22-year-old Lamare Bogarde, who has impressed under Unai Emery and is attracting interest, including from Brighton, despite his deal running to 2028.

With Emi Martinez linked with a move away, Villa have been credited with interest in PSG goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier, with Spurs also in the frame this summer.
