Jhon Arias is set to join Brazilian club Palmeiras after Wolves agreed a deal, with the winger due to travel to Brazil next week to complete the move.

The clubs have settled on a 21.5 million transfer for a player Wolves signed for around 14.7 million from Fluminense last summer. According to ExpressAndStar.com, the 4.3 million add-ons in that deal have not been triggered, meaning Wolves would make around a 6.8 million profit.

Arias has featured in 23 Premier League matches this season but has struggled to adapt, scoring only once in the top flight.

Head coach Rob Edwards said a deal is in place between the clubs and he expects it to be finalised in the coming days. He added that Wolves have been aware of the situation, have stayed in control, and nobody would leave without the club’s approval if it was not right for the future.

Emmanuel Agbadou is also set to depart after arriving in Türkiye to complete a 17.5 million switch to Besiktas. Edwards said that move would go through soon.
