Wolves are reassessing their goalkeeping plans after relegation, and the Daily Mail reports that they are monitoring 23-year-old Wolfsberger goalkeeper Nikolas Polster.
An overhaul is expected this summer as Championship football awaits in 2026/27. A number of departures are likely, and Rob Edwards has said he will speak with Jose Sa and Sam Johnstone about their futures.
Polster has drawn stylistic comparisons to Manuel Neuer. He plays high off his line, sweeps behind the defence and is comfortable initiating attacks with the ball at his feet.
That profile could appeal at Molineux, with Sa and Johnstone both having faced criticism for not commanding their area. Wolves face competition from Celtic, while Brighton, Brentford and Saint-Etienne have also shown interest.
Both Sa and Johnstone could move on this summer, and there is no settled long-term number one. Whether Wolves act on Polster remains to be seen, but he has seven clean sheets this season, more than Sa and Johnstone combined.
