The left-back has been linked with a Molineux exit this summer.

Wolves have already experienced a dramatic summer off the pitch, and there is still plenty of time for further developments ahead of the Championship season.

The Old Gold have made some eye-catching signings in Kieran Trippier and Raul Jimenez, who will provide the club with admirable experience and quality for a second-tier side.

They will also enter the campaign with a new man in the dugout after Cesar Peixoto dramatically replaced Rob Edwards as manager despite the latter seemingly being brought in to lead the club in the Championship.

There could also be high-profile departures before the window closes, and Wolves would do well to retain Hugo Bueno, who has been attracting interest from abroad.

What should Wolves do about Hugo Bueno?

There were not many Wolves players who could hold their heads high after finishing bottom of the Premier League, but Bueno was certainly one of them.

The 23-year-old enjoyed his best season for the Black Country club since signing for them seven years ago, making 38 appearances in all competitions.

Serie A side Fiorentina are reportedly interested in the left-back this summer, while multiple sources have claimed that the Old Gold would be looking for £15million for his services.

When asked whether he would be happy if his club cashed in for that price or if he would want Bueno to stick around, FLW's Wolves fan pundit Thomas Woodhall was torn.

"I mean, me personally, I'd prefer to keep him around," he told Football League World.

"He's the only player last season that could kick a ball in a direction he actually meant to kick it in. Best crosser in the team, but with Trippier coming in, I think that'll be pushed back a little bit.

"I think £15m for a Championship team is good, but I think he is worth more than that. Obviously it's all profit, so I'm 50-50. I mean, I would rather him stay, but it wouldn't be devastating to lose him."

The Old Gold should be relaxed about Bueno situation

Wolves have already done remarkably well to tie down Andre to a new deal and sign several experienced Premier League players as they aim for an instant return to the top flight.

Bueno is one of several assets that the Black Country club have, including Mateus Mane and Joao Gomes, but the club are in a good place regarding their assets.

The 23-year-old has developed well since arriving at Molineux, considering he arrived for free from Spanish side CD Areosa, and the Old Gold would make pure profit on a potential sale.

If he were to leave, then that would leave just David Moller Wolfe as the only recognised left-back, so the club would need to reinvest that money to deepen that position.

Furthermore, Bueno's delivery was on point last term, with the Spaniard ranking in the top four per cent of Premier League left-backs for successful crosses and chances created, according to Fotmob.

If he stays, then Wolves will have two of the best crossers in the division in the 23-year-old and Trippier, but £15m should not be sniffed at.
