Wolves’ day two in Portugal brought exclusive access to Cesar Peixoto’s morning session, an intense workout that set the tone for the week. New arrivals Kieran Trippier and Rafiki Said were involved, while Mateus Mane looked sharp and physically improved.
ExpressAndStar.com reports that the drills were structured and demanding, with fitness work prioritised ahead of a long Championship campaign. Cloud cover helped at this first session, although hotter conditions are forecast later in the week.
Afterwards, a daily video was filmed from the pitches and a story published on Ki-Jana Hoever, who is expected to leave this summer. Like Tolu Arokodare, he has not travelled with the squad to Portugal.
With three right-backs already in camp in Trippier, Pedro Lima and Jackson Tchatchoua, a departure for Hoever would make sense. The transfer has not worked, and after 33 appearances in six years, all parties now need a sensible solution in this window.
The afternoon went on training analysis and interview preparation before a break to watch France v Spain. Attention now turns to England against Argentina on Wednesday night in a huge semi-final, with more updates to follow from the camp.
