Wolves’ Yerson Mosquera and Rangers’ Emmanuel Fernandez targets for Rennes | OneFootball

Ahead of their UEFA Europa League campaign, Stade Rennais are looking to add a defender to their ranks. Three targets have emerged, as per a report from Ouest-France. 

The Breton club hold a long-standing interest in Toulouse FC centre-back Charlie Cresswell, however, a move for the England youth international could prove difficult, given interest from the Premier League and also Toulouse’s €25m+ price tag.

There is also interest in Wolverhampton Wanderers centre-back Yerson Mosquera (25). Despite being under contract until 2030, he could leave Molineux this summer following the club’s relegation to the EFL Championship. 

Mosquera joined Wolves back in 2021 for €5m; he has spent time on loan at Cincinnati and Villarreal since. Last season, the Colombia international made 31 appearances in all competitions. Glasgow Rangers’ Emmanuel Fernandez (24) is another option. The London-born Nigeria international had an excellent season in Scotland (33 appearances in all competitions). He is under contract until the summer of 2029.
