Women’s international round-up: Hasegawa on target for Japan

Yui Hasegawa rescued a draw for Japan as the City midfielder was on target in their 1-1 draw with Italy.
She captained a Japan side that also featured Joie Stadium team-mates Ayaka Yamashita and Aobo Fujino in Como.
Roma’s Giada Greggi fired the home side ahead early in the second half before Hasegawa’s equalised 12 minutes later with a low shot into the bottom corner.
Elsewhere, City’s Sydney Lohmann helped Germany to a 1-0 first leg victory over France in the Women’s Nations League semi-final.
The midfielder was a second-half substitute as Germany claimed a narrow advantage ahead of the second leg in Caen on Tuesday.
Bayern Munich’s Klara Buhl got the only goal in Dusseldorf with Spain or Sweden waiting for the eventual winners.
Laura Wienroither started for Austria in their Nations League first qualifying round clash with Czechia.
However, they were beaten 1-0 after Michaela Khyrova’s first half goal with the two sides meeting again in Vienna on Tuesday.
Kerstin Casparij and Viveinne Miedemia were also in the starting line-up for Netherlands’ friendly in Poland.
Neither side were on the scoresheet as the game finished 0-0 in Gdansk. The Dutch return home on Tuesday night for a friendly with Canada.
Jade Rose featured for Canada in their friendly on Friday night as they were beaten 1-0 by Switzerland.
The Swiss included Iman Beney in their side for the victory in Lucerne.
