Chelsea are the current holders of the Subway League Cup
Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United enter the Women’s League Cup at the quarter-final stage, and here SheKicks provides all the details for the upcoming draw.
The WSL have announced that the Women’s League Cup quarter-final will take place at 6pm on Tuesday, November 25th.
The eight teams will discover their route to the final, as the semi-final draw will also be staged immediately after.
It will be live-streamed on the Barclays WSL TikTok channel and will be conducted by Portsmouth striker Ella Rutherford and her partner GK Barry, who is a TikTok personality and former participant on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United received a bye to the quarter-finals due to their participation in the Women’s Champions League.
The Gunners beat Real Madrid on Wednesday, while Manchester United lost 5-2 to German side Wolfsburg. CChelsea will look to end their losing run against Barcelona when they face the Spanish giants on Thursday.
Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United will be joined in the Women’s League Cup quarter-final draw by the five group stage winners.
Below, SheKicks takes a look at the state of play in each group, ahead of this weekend’s final fixtures.
Group A
Manchester City need to draw away at Nottingham Forest to seal their spot in the quarter-final.
Nottingham Forest would require a famous victory over the WSL leaders in regular time to take the quarter-final spot. Should Forest take the bonus point for winning the penalty shootout, City would still advance due to their superior goal difference.
Everton and Newcastle United have already been eliminated.
Group B
Liverpool are in a similar position to Manchester City as they arrive into the weekend one point ahead of Sheffield United, with the two sides set to meet on Saturday.
A draw would be enough for Liverpool, regardless of whether Sheffield United win the penalty shootout.
Durham and Sunderland will scrap it out for third place in the group.
Group C
West Ham are likely to qualify from Group C as they sit three points ahead of Brighton and Charlton.
Brighton has been eliminated, having already played their final game, while Charlton would need a miraculous set of results to reach the quarter-finals.
Charlton would need to beat Southampton, hope West Ham lose to Portsmouth, and turn around a +10 goal advantage that the Hammers hold on the Addicks.
Group D
Leicester City need just one point from their clash with Crystal Palace to make the quarter-finals.
Crystal Palace could jump ahead of Leicester if they beat the Foxes 5-0 on Sunday.
London City Lionesses can also advance if they beat Ipswich and Leicester lose. However, Leicester’s five-goal difference advantage over the Lionesses will make it hard for them to take top spot.
Group E
Tottenham are top of Group E but will need a victory over Bristol City to be certain of reaching the quarter-finals.
Aston Villa can jump to the top spot with a win over local rivals Birmingham City, if Tottenham fail to win in regular time.
Birmingham City can also still qualify if they beat Aston Villa, and Tottenham lose to Bristol City.
