The 29 teams qualified for the 2026 World Cup

With France’s qualification on Thursday night for the final stage of the 2026 World Cup, there are now 29 teams who have booked their ticket to the finals.

By cruising past Ukraine with a convincing 4-0 victory, France sealed their place in the next World Cup. A brace from Kylian Mbappé and goals from Michael Olise and Hugo Ekitiké allowed Les Bleus to secure the top spot in the standings.

For this first expanded edition featuring 48 teams, there are still 19 spots up for grabs for the football festival taking place from June 11 to July 19, 2026 in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
