The 2026 World Cup, staged across the United States, Canada and Mexico, will be the first with three official mascots, and kicks off in two days.

According to SuperDepor.com, each host nation has its own animal character reflecting its culture.

Maple, a moose representing Canada, is cast as a creative, resilient individualist who tours every province and territory. A devotee of street art and music, Maple plays in goal, renowned for spectacular stops, strength, leadership and distinctive style.

Zayu, a jaguar from the southern jungles of Mexico, embodies heritage and dynamism. The name signifies unity, strength and joy.
