El Hadj Malick Diouf
El Hadj Malick Diouf has made Senegal's ambitions crystal clear. The left-back for the Lions of Teranga is aiming for two wins against Sudan and DR Congo. The match against Sudan is set for September 5 in Diamniadio, followed by an away fixture in Kinshasa four days later.
El Hadj Malick Diouf is not hiding his intentions. The Senegalese defender is showing unwavering determination ahead of September's two crucial matchups. After the Lions' second training session on Tuesday, the left-back spoke to the media to outline the team's strategy. His message rings out as a warning to their upcoming opponents.
"We’re going to approach these matches just like any other in these qualifiers. Everyone is focused on one team, DR Congo, because many see it as the marquee clash of this September window. But let’s not forget that Sudan has the same number of points as us. In my view, there’s no difference: for the group, we have to win both games," said Malick Diouf.
