Brazil booked a last-16 place with a late comeback against Japan, Paraguay eliminated Germany on penalties, and the Netherlands meet Morocco in the late kick-off on day 19.

Trailing to Japan, the Seleção turned it around, with Gabriel Martinelli striking in the 90+6 to seal a 2-1 victory and qualification.

Paraguay knocked out Germany 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw.

In the late Netherlands v Morocco tie, Morocco carved the first opening when El-Aynaoui met a right-sided corner at the near post, but Brighton goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen saved firmly. Soon after, Achraf Hakimi drove a powerful effort towards the top corner from the right edge of the box, and Verbruggen turned it behind.
