After having gone through the last two difficult years at Real Madrid, several of their star players got the opportunity to play in a different atmosphere, but at the highest competitive level, in the World Cup 2026. As their performances showed, these players took full advantage of this opportunity, as they shone for their respective national teams.

Three players from the Merengue team, Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, and Marc Cucurella were recognized as the best in their positions as they were voted by fans among the World Cup 2026 Best XI.

Furthermore, as SPORT has noted, these three Real Madrid players also saw their valuations significantly increase because of their performances in the World Cup, as is apparent from the latest update published by Transfermarkt.

The midfielder Bellingham has been one of the biggest gainers in value from the World Cup. After scoring 7 goals and leading his English national team to the third place in the tournament, the Englishman’s value has increased by €30 million to reach €160 million. The only player to have seen a bigger increase in value is another English midfielder Elliot Anderson, whose value increased by €35 million.

Similarly, Kylian Mbappe, who won the Golden Boot of the tournament with his 10 goals and also became the highest scorer in the history of the competition, has seen his value increase by €20 million, and has now reached €200 million, the same value that he had at the start of the 2025-26 season.

Lastly, Marc Cucurella, who ended up winning the World Cup with Spain, has seen a €10 million increase in his value, which now reaches €60 million. Real Madrid had paid €55 million for him and promised another €5 million in variables, and thus they paid exactly his market value amount to get him.

Both Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe had seen their values decrease in the last update, and thus, the World Cup has been highly beneficial from an economic point of view for Real Madrid as well.
