After his World Cup break, Luis Diaz is back at Säbener Straße. The Bayern star took part in training for the first time since his return—and caused a stir with a new look.

At FC Bayern, the last remaining national team players are gradually returning from their summer break. After several players were granted extended time off due to their participation in the World Cup, Luis Diaz, Konrad Laimer, and Josip Stanisic have now returned to Säbener Straße.

While Konrad Laimer and Josip Stanisic returned to Säbener Straße as usual, Luis Diaz made people do a double take. The Colombian, who had most recently been on vacation in his home country, returned to Munich with bleached hair.

Together, the three returnees completed their first training session this Saturday following the World Cup and resumed preparations for the new season before heading to Asia later tonight.

Asia Tour Ahead

There, FC Bayern will take part in this year’s Audi Summer Tour. Through August 8, the German record champions will first be in South Korea, then in Hong Kong. The schedule includes, among other things, two friendly matches against the Korean Red&Gold partner club Jeju SK FC and the reigning Europa League champions, Aston Villa.

In addition to the three returning players, the roster for the Asian tour consists of a mix of established stars and young talents from the academy who will have the chance to prove themselves.

Some top stars, such as Harry Kane, Michael Olise, and Dayot Upamecano, are still on vacation and will not join the team until after the Asian tour.

New signing Ismael Saibari, who trained individually for the first time today following his muscle tear at the World Cup, is also expected to join training on August 8. Jamal Musiala, Serge Gnabry, Lennart Karl, and Alphonso Davies are also staying at Säbener Straße, where they’re working on their return.
