FC Bayern continues to keep a close eye on Ayyoub Bouaddi. Despite having already completed the signings of Nathaniel Brown and Ismael Saibari, the Munich club is closely monitoring the Moroccan World Cup breakout star—though the competition is fierce.

FC Bayern continues to move forward with its roster planning even after signing Nathaniel Brown and Ismael Saibari. While club officials have been able to strengthen the current roster, they are also keeping an eye on some of Europe’s top young talents.

One of them is Ayyoub Bouaddi. The 18-year-old midfielder from OSC Lille is among the most sought-after young professionals in Europe and, thanks to his strong performances at the World Cup, has firmly established himself on the wish lists of numerous top clubs.

As transfer expert Fabrice Hawkins reports, FC Bayern remains among the clubs closely monitoring the development of the Moroccan international.

Bayern faces prominent competition

However, the Munich club is far from alone. In addition to the German record champions, Arsenal and the two Manchester clubs—City and United—are also interested in the highly talented midfielder.

OSC Lille finds itself in a comfortable negotiating position. President Olivier Létang is reportedly demanding a transfer fee of between 80 and 100 million euros for Bouaddi. At the same time, the French club prefers a deal in which the youngster is sold but then loaned back to Lille for another season to continue his development.

For FC Bayern, such a deal would represent a massive financial investment. Nevertheless, Bouaddi’s profile is an excellent fit for what the Munich club is looking for.

Bouaddi impresses at the World Cup

The 18-year-old is one of the major discoveries of the ongoing World Cup. After choosing to play for Morocco over France shortly before the tournament, he already impressed with an exceptionally mature performance in the 1-1 draw against Brazil. In the subsequent group stage matches as well, Bouaddi reaffirmed his reputation as one of Europe’s greatest midfield talents.

With his composure on the ball, his vision, and his versatility in central midfield, he brings exactly the qualities that have been valued at FC Bayern for years.

Whether Munich will actually follow through on the reported figures remains to be seen. One thing is certain, however: Germany’s record champion remains in the running for Bouaddi and is likely to continue closely monitoring his development at the World Cup.
