Serie A side Juventus have previously considered a move to bring back Tarik Muharemovic from Sassuolo but the idea is back on the cards. The FIFA World Cup can play a key role in how things go.
Inter have previously pursued a move but for now, it has been stalled.
La Gazzetta dello Sport report that the player is in high demand and ready for another move, with the Old Lady among the top contenders. Several Premier League clubs have also made moves to secure the Bosnian player, although they haven’t yet submitted an official offer. Juventus are monitoring him closely, considering the possibility of bringing him back unless a significant sum arrives that would generate a capital gain for their balance sheet.
Juventus are looking for a left-footed defender. Lloyd Kelly is improving, but alone isn’t enough to absorb all of Luciano Spalletti’s demands. Muharemovic’s characteristics would be ideal for a young Juventus side. It would be a welcome return for the player and the idea of reuniting with Kenan Yildiz, his close friend, excites him.
Muharemovic is one of the players to watch out for at the World Cup and if he does well, Sassuolo’s valuation will only rise. This may not directly benefit Juventus but they have a sell-on clause in his contract which can then hand them a bigger packet.
But if they want to sign him themselves, things would a bit more difficult. Sassuolo would be hoping he does well and it will only help them from a financial standpoint.
