Worrying? Corinthians' record in Libertadores openers

Corinthians begin their 2026 Libertadores campaign this Thursday (09) against Platense in Argentina. Playing away from home, Timão will try to get off to a winning start and maintain their unbeaten run in tournament debuts, which has lasted since 2023.

In total, Alvinegro have made 18 debuts in the continental competition, with eight wins, 7 draws, and 4 losses. In the last edition of the tournament, Timão opened with a draw against Universidad Central of Venezuela, still in the preliminary stage.
