Wout Faes joins AS Monaco on loan with option to buy | OneFootball

AS Monaco have signed Wout Faes, with the club confirming on Tuesday evening that the 27-year-old centre-back has arrived on loan with an option to buy.

The Belgian, who has played more than 330 professional matches, passed his medical on Tuesday morning. He becomes Monaco’s first arrival of the winter window.

Faes is expected to add stability to Monaco’s defence, which has been hit by injuries to Salisu and Mawissa.

He will also look to revive his form to push for a place with Belgium at the 2026 World Cup.

Faes will be presented to the media on Wednesday 14 January at the La Turbie training centre and will wear the number 25 shirt.
