Wrexham AFC are keeping tabs on Leyton Orient's Dom Ballard ahead of the summer transfer window.
Wrexham will spend another season in the Championship, having been pipped by Hull City to the final play-off place on the last day of the season.
The Red Dragons were looking to secure their fourth-consecutive promotion this season, which would've seen them become the first team in EFL history to go from the National League to the Premier League with consecutive promotions.
However, the Hollywood script wasn't written in Wrexham's favour on Saturday, as they dropped points at home to Middlesbrough, whilst Hull secured a 2-1 victory over in-form Norwich City, earning them sixth place in the Championship table.
Phil Parkinson will now gear up for another season in the second tier, as his side look to go one better next time around, meaning the cash will likely be splashed by the Welsh side once again.
It seems the recruitment process has already started at the Racecourse Ground, as a fresh report has emerged which will certainly excite the Wrexham faithful ahead of what could be a busy summer.

The Red Dragons already have plenty of strikers on their books, with the likes of Kieffer Moore, Sam Smith, Davis Keillor-Dunn, Bailey Cadamarteri, Ryan Hardie and Jay Rodriguez all contracted to the club.
This hasn't prevented them from setting their eyes on another forward though, as Wrexham are one of many clubs keeping tabs on Leyton Orient talisman Dom Ballard, according to journalist Darren Witcoop via X.
The 21-year-old was a shining light in a dismal season for the O's, netting 23 league goals which saw him collect the League One golden boot, as well as the division's Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season awards.
Orient managed to secure their League One status on the final day of the season with a draw against Burton Albion proving enough to keep them up, but they will still face a tough battle to retain their star striker this summer.
Previous reports have suggested that when it comes to the youngster's valuation, the London club are using Jay Stansfield's £15m fee as a benchmark for what they would consider Ballard to be worth.
As we know, Wrexham have plenty of money to play with, but if Orient do demand that kind of fee for Ballard after retaining their League One status, then many clubs will likely be put off pursuing a deal for him.

As mentioned, the Welsh side currently have six senior strikers on the books all vying for a single spot in Parkinson's side, with his preferred system being a 3-5-1-1.
This has left plenty of players struggling for minutes, with the likes of Keillor-Dunn, Cadamarteri and Hardie all making just a handful of appearances since their arrival at the club.
With that in mind, Wrexham may have to have a summer clear out of some of their deadwood if they want to bring Ballard to the Racecourse Ground, otherwise Parkinson will face the possibility of having to deal with some unhappy players.
With the three aforementioned players potentially on the chopping block and Jay Rodriguez out of contract, these departures could free up space for the Orient star to make the move to North Wales this summer.
