As per Alex Miller via X, Wrexham have agreed a deal with Sheffield Wednesday for the signature of 20-year-old Jamaican international Bailey Cadamarteri, with a medical scheduled for today.

The Welsh outfit have beaten numerous clubs around the Championship for the signature of the youngster, who has been an almost ever-present in the Owls' side this campaign.

Wrexham look set to add Cadamarteri to their ranks before today's 7pm deadline, having already completed a deal for Bristol City's Zak Vyner and with FLW exclusively revealing that they are on course to secure the capture of Barnsley forward Davis Keillor-Dunn as well.

As confirmed by Alex Miller via X, Wrexham look to have won the race for Cadamarteri this month, having beaten numerous clubs around the Championship to his signature.

It had been exclusively revealed by FLW earlier in January that Millwall had joined Blackburn Rovers and Scottish side Hibernian in the race for Cadamarteri, with The Star later reporting that up to nine clubs around the EFL had registered an interest in the Wednesday starlet - Millwall made a low £300,000 bid also for his services.

Blackburn has also emerged as strong contenders for the Jamaican signature, whilst Austrian side Rapid Vienna reportedly made a late move for Cadamarteri, though it appears as though Wrexham are the club he has chosen to sign for.

Wrexham's rapid rise through the divisions has been dramatic, to say the least, and Cadamarteri looks set to join the Welsh outfit's journey.

Should he pass the medical as expected, Cadamarteri will bolster Phil Parkinson's options in attack at the STōK Cae Ras, with the club looking to make it a historical back-to-back-to-back-to-back promotions from the National League all the way to the Premier League.

Wrexham have launched themselves into play-off contention recently after entering the top-six places in the Championship for the first time, following victories away to Queens Park Rangers and, incidentally, Sheffield Wednesday.

The Red Dragons endured a busy summer of recruitment, with the likes of Kieffer Moore, Nathan Broadhead, Josh Windass, Callum Doyle, Lewis O'Brien, and Ben Sheaf all joining the club in a window which saw over £30 million worth of spending.

They had been linked with a blockbuster £19 million move for Angers youngster Sidiki Cherif, though the Frenchman has since made the move to Turkish giants Fenerbahce instead.

Manager Parkinson, who has overseen the club's rise through the divisions, is looking to create history by becoming the first team to ever complete four promotions in a row to the Premier League.

The addition of Cadamarteri can only help their ambitions of achieving that feat, with the forward set to offer heavy competition up top and take his game to the next level in North Wales.
