Wrexham host Hull City in the Championship on Tuesday, 10 March in Wrexham, with fifth meeting sixth and valuable play-off ground at stake.
Wrexham sit on 57 points in sixth, while Hull City are on 60 in fifth. The sides' last league meeting in December ended with Hull City winning 2-0, and their August EFL Cup tie here finished 3-3 before penalties.
Wrexham have momentum in the league after three straight wins over Ipswich Town, Portsmouth and Charlton Athletic, with only a recent FA Cup defeat to Chelsea breaking their stride. Hull, by contrast, have lost three of their last four league games, bookended by a useful away win at Portsmouth.
Wrexham are without Matty James, Ben Sheaf, Liberato Cacace and Issa Kabore through injury. For Hull, Matt Crooks is suspended, while Akin Famewo, Ryan Giles, Matty Jacobs, Darko Gyabi and Yu Hirakawa are injured. Giles has eight assists this season but remains sidelined.
Wrexham's route to goal could lean on deliveries and aerial power. They have scored 14 headed goals and attempted 510 open-play crosses with 20.39% accuracy, with Kieffer Moore on 11 league goals. Hull have 57 league goals and sharp finishing at 54.78% shot accuracy. Oliver McBurnie (13) and Joe Gelhardt (12) give them penalty-box threat that could test a defence that has conceded 45.
A win would take Wrexham to 60 points and could tighten their hold on a play-off berth. Victory for Hull would move them to 63 points and strengthen their top-six push. A draw would keep the pack compressed heading into the run-in.
