A reminder that Manchester City’s 2026/27 Barclays Women’s Super League fixtures will be revealed on Thursday 30 July.

The Blues enter the new season as reigning WSL champions, claiming the title with a game to spare and equalling our best-ever points total in the process.

Andrée Jeglertz’s side led the way from mid-November and also maintained a 100% home record across the league campaign.

But with the team returning for pre-season training last week, all eyes are now on 2026/27 and our defence of the WSL crown…

Key WSL Dates

City’s WSL fixtures will be announced at 10:00 (UK) on Thursday 30 July, with our opening match confirmed to be taking place on the weekend of 4/5/6 September.

Our final match of 2026 will take place on 18/19/20 December, with a return to WSL action following the festive break set for 8/9/10 January 2027.

The last match of the 2026/27 WSL campaign will take place on Sunday 22 May 2027.

More fixtures than ever

With the WSL expanding to 14 teams in 2026/27, City will play four more league matches next season.

Birmingham City and Crystal Palace return to the top flight after gaining automatic promotion from WSL 2.

They’ll be joined by Charlton Athletic, who are set for their first WSL season after beating relegated Leicester City in a play-off at the Valley in May 2026.

An additional six UEFA Champions League Group Phase matches are also already guaranteed between September and December, before our defence of the FA Cup begins in January 2027!

Alcohol in-bowl at the Joie Stadium

Following a successful trial in 2025/26, City fans will once again be able to consume alcohol in the stands at all WSL matches during the 2026/27 season.

This also extends to WSL fixtures at the Etihad Stadium, with the Joie Stadium’s Family Area (West Stand Blocks 1, 2 and 3) and Blocks 037- 042 at the Etihad remaining alcohol-free.
