Tottenham Hotspur have announced that head coach Martin Ho has signed a new long-term contract with the club.
The 35-year-old joined the North London outfit ahead of the 2025/26 season and made an immediate impact on the club. Currently in fifth, they need four points from their final four Women’s Super League games to surpass their highest point tally on record.
After time as Marc Skinner’s assistant at Manchester United, Ho headed to Norway to manage SK Brann.
While suffering domestic disappointment, the Englishman led his side on a solid run in the UEFA Women’s Champions League. Brann finished second in the group stage, before losing to eventual champions Barcelona in the quarter-finals.
Since moving to London, the 35-year-old seems to have brought the best out of his players. Last season, Bethany England was Spurs’ top goalscorer with eight to her name. Drew Spence sat in second with three, showing a huge reliance on the Lioness. However under Ho’s leadership, three players sit of six goals across all competitions.
In February, Ho was named WSL Manager of the Month, making him just Spurs’ second Head Coach to win the accolade.
Speaking on his new deal, Martin Ho, said: “From the moment I arrived, there was a clear vision around the direction of the Club, and together we’ve started to lay strong foundations in terms of identity, standards, and the way we want to work every day.
“What we’re building is something that demands consistency, discipline and a relentless drive to improve both on and off the pitch. We want to be a team that plays with intensity, clarity and personality, and an environment where people are developed, supported and accountable.”
Tottenham Hotspur Women Managing Director, Andy Rogers, added: “He is exactly the profile of coach we want for this team. He has brought a clear way of playing, brave, passionate and ruthless, and combined that with the structure and discipline needed to compete consistently.
“The detail, the intensity, and the belief he creates within the group are already shaping a young, ambitious squad that wants to improve and win at the highest level. That environment will be a key factor in the players we attract and develop over the coming seasons.”
