As Real Madrid look to resume their campaign against Getafe this weekend, coach Xabi Alonso will be looking to reshuffle his pack a bit.
This is largely due to Real Madrid’s congested fixture list, with Los Blancos slated to face Juventus next midweek, followed by the all-important El Clasico against Barcelona.
Not to mention, injuries have diluted Alonso’s first-team options, which is why the Real Madrid manager is keeping close tabs on academy stars.
Alonso has been recently monitoring the progress of Joan Martinez, who has returned to first-team training and could be a defensive option for the club this season.
However, in addition to Joan Martinez, Xabi Alonso is also keen on trying out another Real Madrid youth talent in Jorge Cestero.
In fact, Alonso has already called up Cestero to first-team training ahead of the Getafe game this weekend.

The young midfielder was seen training alongside Real Madrid first-team players today and it can only be assumed that Alonso is looking to potentially integrate him into the senior side soon.
Last week, Castilla coach Alvaro Arbeloa hailed Cestero as the best number six talent in the whole of Spain.
Alonso himself has been keeping a close eye on Cestero, who is also regarded as the best-performing youth player for Real Madrid this season.
It appears 19-year-old’s exceptional performances in the youth division may soon earn him a potential first-team debut. To that end, all eyes will be on Real Madrid’s final squad for the Getafe contest this weekend.
Cestero, after all, could be in line for a potential call-up, especially if Real Madrid are forced to deploy Federico Valverde in the right-back position.
