Xavi Simons in London ahead of move to either Chelsea or Spurs | OneFootball

RB Leipzig attacking midfielder Xavi Simons is in London ahead of a proposed move to one of two Premier League clubs.

Both Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are in talks with the Bundesliga outfit to sign the 22-year-old Dutch international.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Leipzig have given Simons permission to travel as talks remain ongoing.

Simons had most strongly been linked with Chelsea over the summer however Spurs will be hoping that they can swoop instead for the former Paris Saint-Germain man.

Last season, Simons scored 11 and assisted eight goals in 33 games for his side in all competitions.

This season, he started with a goal and assist in Leipzig's DFB-Pokal win over SV Sandhausen but was also a part of the team that was thrashed 6-0 by champions Bayern Munich.
