A big game against Paris Saint-Germain ends in defeat for FC Barcelona. Despite scoring first through Ferran Torres, the Catalan giants began to lose control of the game and PSG eventually took advantage of that and won with a 1-2 scoreline.

From start to finish, it was a game full of highs and lows for Hansi Flick’s side. On the bright side, however, this is still just a league phase game and the Catalan giants need to learn from this defeat.

Wojciech Szczesny: 6.0

Decent with his short passing but his long passing was simply woeful. Could not do much about either of the two goals that he conceded.

Jules Kounde: 5.5

His passing seemed fine, but the Frenchman struggled a lot in terms of his duels. Not a good outing for him.

Eric Garcia: 7.5

Valiant performance from the Spaniard, who put in a proper shift tonight. His passing was solid, and he defended with a lot of heart and courage.

Pau Cubarsi: 7.0

Decent passing and made a few important interventions. However, should have done better in the first goal that Barça conceded.

Gerard Martin: 6.5

Not exactly useless but his side always felt vulnerable as well, primarily due to Hakimi’s runs.

Frenkie de Jong: 6.0

Lethargic and off his game. Did not press when he needed to and also was sluggish on other occasions.

Pedri: 7.5

The Spaniard was possibly Barça’s only reliable source of inspiration at times, and his absence in the last stages of the second half were clearly felt.

Lamine Yamal: 7.0

Started the game off with a lot of energy and enthusiasm. However, despite keeping PSG on their toes and being a problem for them initially, the Barcelona star began to fade from the game and had a very quiet second half.

Dani Olmo: 5.5

The Spaniard should have done a lot better with the chances that came his way. Disappointing performance.

Marcus Rashford: 7.5

Provided a sensational assist to Ferran Torres for the opener, and had some exciting moments apart from that as well.

Ferran Torres: 7.0

Got the first goal with a good finish but squandered other opportunities. He should have at least had another goal to his name in this game.

Added some much-needed energy to Hansi Flick’s team.

With the rest of the players looking tired, Marc Casado definitely put in a shift after coming on.

Did not have much to do.
