Barcelona will lock horns with Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup final as they look to earn a good result and lift the trophy. The Catalan club secured a dominant 5-0 win over Athletic Bilbao recently, so their confidence would be sky-high heading into this final versus Los Blancos.

Hansi Flick will set his men up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make one change to his starting XI for this game. Lamine Yamal could play from the start of this contest, while Roony Bardghji makes way for him and drops to the bench.

Defence

Joan Garcia will operate in between the sticks for the Catalan giants after keeping a clean sheet in his last outing. Pau Cubarsi will operate alongside Eric Garcia at the centre of the Barcelona backline as they hope to keep things solid at the back throughout the 90 minutes.

Jules Kounde will try to put in a good display as the right-back, while Alejandro Balde hopes to prove his worth on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.

Gerard Martin will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Frenkie de Jong and Pedri will anchor the midfield for Barcelona as they look to establish their dominance at the centre of the park.

The gifted trio of Raphinha, Fermin Lopez and Lamine Yamal will operate just ahead of them as part of Barcelona’s attack. All three of them need to be at their best if the Catalan club are to get their hands on the Spanish Super Cup.

Marc Bernal and Roony Bardghji will be named on the bench as they wait for their chance to shine in the second 45 minutes if needed.

Attack

Ferran Torres will lead the charge for the Catalan giants up top. He has to find a way to be a constant menace in the final third.

Marcus Rashford and Robert Lewandowski will have to settle for a place on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if required.
