Liverpool fans are expecting another summer of change to grace Anfield this season.

On paper, the 2025-26 summer transfer window was one of the most impressive transfer windows for a football team ever.

The Reds seemed to massively upgrade their ranks with most of their fans believing that they'd be untouchable.

However, since players such as Alexander Isak still haven't managed to get fit and perform at their best, questions are being raised.

This is why the 2026-27 summer transfer window is expected to be another busy one for Arne Slot and Richard Hughes.

Several players have already been linked with an Anfield switch but, when looking at all the options Liverpool have on the table, there are some standout options.

Yan Diomande is one of these but there's actually an even better option on the market that the Reds could try and pursue.

Yan Diomande has been touted as Liverpool's next Mohamed Salah

Seeing as though Mohamed Salah will only have a year left on his contract with Liverpool in the summer, fans are wondering whether they're going to take their last chance of a massive pay day for the Egyptian King.

Salah has undoubtedly been Liverpool's best player over the last few years but, in Slot's new system, he's failing to reach the standards expected of him.

This has raised questions about whether the best course of action for the club is to sell their star man and try to replace him with a youngster such as Diomande.

However, since the Ivorian is in the form of his life at the moment, RB Leipzig are going to demand a massive fee for him even though he's only 19 years old.

Diomande's price tag is the main thing putting most clubs off making a move and, it's not hard to see why.

This is why several other options have been linked with Liverpool and now, a move for one of their long-term targets could be about to come to fruition.

Jarrod Bowen would be a perfect replacement for Mohamed Salah at Liverpool

The Englishman was on top of Jurgen Klopp's shortlist for most summers but, since he's so important to West Ham United, the fee that they've demanded has been way too high.

However, as per an update from The i Paper, it seems like the Hammers' captain could be available for a cut-rate fee if Nuno Espirito Santo's men get relegated.

The report starts by saying West Ham's 'prize assets' would have to be moved on in order to make ends meet if the club were relegated to the Championship.

This would then mean that Crysencio Summerville, Bowen, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Mateus Fernandes could all be shipped out by West Ham.

And, although each of these players would command a massive fee at the moment, if West Ham are relegated, the quartet would only cost around £100 million to prise away from the London Stadium in the summer.

This would mean that around £25 million could be enough for Liverpool to secure Bowen's services and, since he's still the Hammers' best player and already has plenty of Premier League experience, he'd fit right in.

and it feels like it would be a no-risk transfer for Liverpool, especially since Bowen has contributed to 142 goals across all competitions for the Hammers.

So, even though he may be entering the prime of his career, Bowen would be a much less risky option for the Reds to explore rather than someone such as Diomande.
