Bayern Munich supervisory board member Uli Hoeneß has expressed hope that Harry Kane will extend his contract beyond 2027.
The 74-year-old highlighted that the England international chose not to activate a release clause that would have allowed him to leave Bayern for a fixed fee this summer.
Taking into account how settled Kane and his family appear to be in Munich, Hoeneß sees a contract extension as likely – though he acknowledged that unexpected offers, such as from a wealthy Saudi club, could still change the picture.
“He hasn’t exercised his release clause, which already means he is definitely under contract here until the summer of 2027,” Hoeneß told Kicker.
“From what I hear and feel, he and his family feel extremely comfortable here. You never know when a Saudi comes along and puts a pile of money on the table. But he feels so comfortable.”
Hoeneß added that he believes the 32-year-old striker can “play at this level for at least another three to four years.”
“He is a perfect professional who takes care of his body. He is always at rehab, with the physiotherapists,” the Bayern chief said.
