“You shouldn’t wear the blue jersey!” – John Obi Mikel has message for Chelsea player | OneFootball

Former Blues midfielder John Obi Mikel has sent a stern message to current Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez.

We all know this story by now, it has been dominating the headlines during this latest international break, and it is a story that everyone at Chelsea could do without right now as they look to try and qualify for next seasons Champions League competition by finishing in the top five of the Premier League.

But Fernandez clearly wants out of Chelsea, for me that has become very obvious to see now and he has been out there twerking for Real Madrid constantly.

But Mikel is annoyed with Fernandez doing this and says your heart is either in the club or it’s not.

In comments picked up on X yesterday, Mikel has a clear message for Enzo Fernandez:

“This is Chelsea, not a stepping stone to another team. If your heart is already in Madrid, you shouldn’t wear the blue jersey. At Chelsea, we played for the badge, not for a future transfer.”

That’s all well and good. But Fernandez is questioning the ambitions and project placed by the owner, the exact same thing Mikel has been doing for YEARS. Yes, Fernandez shouldn’t be so public with it all, but you can’t blame him for wanting out right now.
