Chelsea’s collapse against PSG in midweek was put down to a lack of experience at that level. Despite the fact that it was an experienced team in terms of appearances, not many have been in big Champions League games like that before.
Liam Rosenior was asked whether that was an issue, and whether the club would look to add more veterans in the summer to balance things out.
“We’re growing experience here and, in the summer, you’ll see… You’ll see in the summer,” the manager said cryptically.
“Right now, we have those conversations but my job is to make sure we finish the season as strong as possible. To talk about transfer business and dealings in March is not a bright thing to do.
“The idea is to win. That’s something myself and the sporting directors and the ownership are all aligned [on].”
Well, it’s not a flat out denial, which is interesting in itself.
The Chelsea goalkeeping discussion dominated talk in press conference yesterday, and Rosenior made some unfortunate comparisons.
Said El Mala looks a tasty target for Premier League teams, and we’re keen to see where he ends up going this summer.
Rosenior spoke ahead of today’s game against Newcastle about how he works with individual players to improve their mistakes.
