Young Boys Bern appear to block Alan Virginius exit amid European interest | OneFootball

Alan Virginius could be staying in Switzerland, with Young Boys Bern now appearing to resist a sale despite European interest.

According to L'Équipe, Genoa are pushing hardest for the 23-year-old, but the situation is currently at a standstill.

An oral agreement is said to have been reached last summer to ease a move this year, yet the Swiss club appear to have changed stance and are signalling their winger, under contract until 2029, should remain.

In recent weeks, Young Boys have rebuffed approaches from Genoa, as well as Anderlecht and Paderborn, for the former Sochaux and Lille player.

The Bern side are thought to be seeking between 10 and 15 million euros to consider a transfer.
