Yuri Alberto will look to end a run of six matches without a goal for Corinthians when they face Mirassol. The forward is enduring his second-longest barren spell for the club.
According to Meu Timao, Yuri Alberto is likely to start against Mirassol. His last goal came in a 2-0 victory over Platense in April 2026.
Since then he has featured against Palmeiras, Independiente Santa Fe, Vitória, Barra, Vasco da Gama and Peñarol, creating clear chances and supplying an assist but not scoring.
Only a nine-match drought between May and September 2025 was longer. That extended period spanned four months because of the first FIFA Club World Cup break and an L1 vertebra fracture that kept him out for more than two months.
Even so, he has five goals this year and leads Corinthians’ scoring chart. Gustavo Henrique and André Luiz follow with three each.
In the 2-0 win over Peñarol last time out, he led the match for key passes and set up the second for the English midfielder Jesse Lingard. Corinthians play at Estádio Campos Maia on Sunday at 20:30, chasing a second straight Brasileirão win and looking to move away from the relegation zone.
