Yuri Alberto has joined an exclusive group of Corinthians scorers in finals after netting in the 2-0 Supercopa do Brasil win over Flamengo.
According to Meu Timao, he is now alongside Sócrates, Marcelinho Carioca, Deivid and Viola as players to have scored in three different finals for the club, all in consecutive deciders.
His run began in March 2025 at Allianz Parque, where he struck the only goal of the Paulistão first leg against Palmeiras. That effort proved decisive after a 0-0 draw at Neo Química Arena.
In December, after a 0-0 in Itaquera against Vasco da Gama, Corinthians had to win at the Maracanã to secure the Copa do Brasil. Yuri Alberto opened the scoring in Rio, then set up Memphis Depay to seal a 2-1 victory and the club’s fourth title in the competition.
At Mané Garrincha in Brasília he applied the finishing touch, chipping goalkeeper Rossi in the final act after Gabriel Paulista had made it 1-0, to secure back-to-back Supercopa titles. It was his third goal of 2026, leaving him as the team’s leading scorer this year.
Viola has scored in four different finals for Corinthians, while Marcelinho found the net in eight.
Yuri Alberto will look to add to his tally on Thursday at 20:30, when Corinthians host Capivariano in the sixth round of the Campeonato Paulista at Neo Química Arena.
