FC Bayern have apparently made provisions for the loan deal for Bryan Zaragoza – and will benefit financially in any case. Even if AS Roma do not sign the winger permanently, money will flow to Munich
As the Italian portal Calciomercato reports, a special clause is anchored in the loan agreement: if Roma decide against a permanent signing, a penalty payment of 500,000 euros will be due
The Munich club already collected a loan fee of around two million euros when the deal was concluded in February, but it is now clear that those responsible have also made provisions in the event of a failed transfer
The purchase option for Zaragoza is set at €13 million, and under certain conditions – for example, if he plays 50 percent of the possible match minutes and qualifies for the Europa League – this could even turn into an obligation to buy
However, this scenario is currently considered unlikely

The Spaniard has not yet been able to make a lasting impression at AS Roma and his playing time remains limited, which is why a permanent transfer currently hardly seems realistic
However, this is not a problem for FC Bayern – on the contrary: even without a sale, the record champions will generate additional income while minimizing the risk of an unsuccessful loan deal
The Zaragoza transfer is another example of how Munich is increasingly structuring its loan deals strategically, focusing not only on the player’s sporting development but also on financial security
Whether purchase option or penalty payment: FC Bayern emerges as the winner in every scenario.
