Gipuzkoa is gearing up for the Copa final on 18 April at La Cartuja, with fan zones in Zarautz, Zumarraga, Tolosa and Lasarte-Oria. According to Diario Vasco, each will host a giant screen for the txuri-urdin party.
The provincial council will run the zones, with Okendo Square set as the hub in Lasarte-Oria and the other locations to be confirmed shortly. Donostia will add a big screen at Alderdi Eder, while Zumaia will show the match at fronton Odieta, or at Sagarbide if it rains.
A joint programme from the departments of Culture and Sport, Sustainability and Mobility will animate Saturday with street performances and activities for all ages, before the live screening. A txaranga will parade between 17.30 and 19.30, then play in the fan zone from 19.30 to 20.30, ahead of a 21.00 kick-off.
There will also be DJs, inflatables, face painting, surprises and merchandising. Lurraldebus services in the host municipalities will be reinforced to provide comfortable, affordable, safe and sustainable travel.
Culture and Sports deputy Goizane Álvarez said the aim is to share a historic final across the territory and make the day collective and close. She stressed sport’s social cohesion and the need for accessible, equal opportunities.
Mobility, Tourism and Territorial Planning deputy Azahara Domínguez said Lurraldebus will strengthen regular lines so fans can attend without private cars. Real Sociedad and the RFEF are finalising an LED screen for the club’s Sevilla fan zone on Avenida Carlos III, next to the La Cartuja train stop.
