Zinédine Zidane in the stands to see son Luca’s Algeria AFCON debut | OneFootball

Zinédine Zidane was in Rabat to watch his son Luca make his first Africa Cup of Nations start for Algeria, who opened against Sudan.

According to L'Équipe, the Zidane family were in Rabat to support Luca, Algeria’s starting goalkeeper, representing the country of his grandparents.

In the 23rd minute, his image appeared on the Rabat stadium’s giant screens, wearing glasses and a black cap, prompting a huge roar as fans turned towards his section.

The French great is celebrated by Algerian supporters too.

Sitting alongside his wife Véronique and two of his other sons, Théo and Elyaz, Zidane acknowledged the ovation with a smile.
