The young Polish defender Jan Ziolkowski, who joined Roma this transfer window for a whopping €6.5 million, is generating buzz as one of Poland’s top talents.

His former teammate in the Poland Under-21s, Kacper Tobiasz, spoke to the portal sportowefakty.wp.pl about the young player’s arrival in Serie A.

“Jan Ziolkowski said goodbye to us. He said he would be leaving tomorrow for a medical with Roma. We supported him, hugged him, and wished him good luck.”

“Will he be able to succeed in Serie A? Of course he can. He has such a strong character that I don’t think he would be unable to handle this transfer.”

“Maybe he should eat a little more to get stronger, but despite that, considering his appearance, he is a very strong player, especially mentally. And that’s the most important thing.”
