Zubeldia back in Real Sociedad squad as Guedes misses Girona trip | OneFootball

According to Diario Vasco, Igor Zubeldia headlines a 24-man Real Sociedad squad named by Pellegrino Matarazzo for Thursday's match at Girona, kick-off 20:00 at Montilivi.

The Azkoitia-born defender has recovered from the serious muscle tear suffered at Villarreal, which ruled him out of the Copa del Rey final. He is now fit to help in the league run-in.

Guedes trained with the group but is omitted through injury, as is Odriozola. Karrikaburu and Carrera bolster the attack with Óskarsson suspended.

Some changes to the XI are expected, not a revolution, with only five days since the Betis game.

Jon Mikel Aramburu is expected to reclaim right-back after serving a ban, while Oyarzabal is expected to replace Óskarsson up front, flanked by Barrene and Kubo. That would open a midfield place for either Turrientes or Sucic.

Alongside Carrera, Sanse goalkeeper Aitor Fraga is also named, though he is initially tipped to be the late omission. He would then be available for Sanse on Monday at Anoeta against Mirandés.
